Just got home from Tapestry Dance Studio. I filmed a Southern Sirens rehearsal for my final multimedia project. They're a new Austin burlesque group. Such lovely ladies. They inspire me to work out more... and they make me miss dance so so much.

UT graduation in 17 days! My regalia is so stupid. Why must we look like douchebags upon any graduation? I hate tradition. Oh well, at least my sash and tassles are red. Fuck burnt orange.

...to deserve this.
Last night my LV purse was stolen at our Urban Christmas party. We were at the UT Union Undergroud (yes, that's what it's called) bowling alley last night, drinking beers, eating pizza, bowling and having a grand ol' time...when some thugs came in, grabbed ONLY MY PURSE, and ran out with it. Some kids saw him do it and ran after them, one of them coming over to our group and telling us what they saw. Then, all 20+ Urban employees ran upstairs and scoured the area looking for the bastards. We didn't find them. Word is that the thugs jumped in a car with my purse and drove off. The police are pretty sure they got away with it.
Amazing. My car keys and all of my pretty expensive makeup was in the bag...the purse wasn't cheap,but at least it was a fake LV. I think it's pretty funny that they stole what looked like a $1200+ bag. They won't make as much money off of that thing as they think. Idiots.
$350 later, I think I've got another key made for my car. Thank you s.k. <3
But it still makes me sick that this happened.
I don't know what else can go wrong. I just hope something great is in the making for Stef and I. I hope this next year brings wonderful things for me and my family. We're good people and don't deserve this sort of bullshit.
If you know me, you know what I'm talking about.
I am so thankful, however, for my daddy, mom and sister...and all of my co-workers were so amazing last night. They were seriously ready to take down the fuckers that robbed me. It's good to know that my UOcrew has my back. They threw me a little impromptu tailgate party in the parking lot while we waited for the tow truck to take my car to my house. Two of my managers paid for that, too.

My sissy rocks.
I think I'm gonna make an LJ comeback. Yeah. I think I will. Is anyone still out there?
Things have been nuts around here. My daddy is in the hospital because he broke his kneecap :( :( :( I'm very sad about it and it's really all I can think about. I just want him to be back to normal.
School is winding down. I'm pretty excited about that. One more semester and I'll have a Bachelor's degree in journalism from UT.
I love my internship. I think I'm gonna stick around at Austin Monthly for another semester. The December issue of Austin Monthly Home will actually have my name in it. I actually wrote stuff in a magazine that will be on newsstands. That's pretty damn cool. I'm pretty damn cool. Whoa.
So yeah. I can't wait for Christmas. Well, minus the fact that I'm kind of broke and have many many presents to buy. I can't wait to be home again, relaxing and enjoying the company of my lovely family.
I'm really doing everything in my power to avoid studying for my journalism and religion final tomorrow.
Anyway. We put up our pink Christmas tree and it's effin' adorable. I'll post pictures once we get our final ornaments because it's not complete yet. I know you're just dying to see it.

i'm gonna finish my book and go to sleep. i have a long day of lawn-mowing, family bonding, and working tax-free weekend tomorrow.

i turned 23 on tuesday. didn't get to enjoy it as much as i wanted to, but there's plenty of time to celebrate later. last week of school. until the first summer session begins, that is. i'm pretty excited about it.
this summer will hold many wonderful things. i can already feel myself becoming what i'm supposed to be. like a little caterpiller becoming a butterfly or something.

I got a job at Urban Outfitters!! Yay!
Done with school, pretty much. I took my last test today. Almost spring break. Time for good shows, good times with my sissy, and a new freakin' job! How happy am I? Yeah. Pretty happy.
